Heathrow Terminal 4 Pick Up Point, Meet & Greet & Park & Ride Guide

Last updated: 27 June 2026 · Reviewed by the Rapid Airport Transfers team

The 2026 T4 pick-up guide: the closed multi-storey, the new Priority Pick-Up, the free Zone A Park & Ride shuttle, meet & greet & the £7 drop-off — everything for arriving at or leaving Heathrow Terminal 4.

Where is the Heathrow Terminal 4 pick up point in 2026?

Since 23 June 2026 the T4 multi-storey car park is closed, so pick-up arrangements have changed. There are now four ways to be collected:

  • Pre-booked taxi / Meet & Greet driver — meets you inside the T4 Arrivals Hall by WHSmith, holding a name board. No shuttle, no car-park puzzle.
  • Priority Pick-Up Area — right outside the terminal, from £7 for up to 10 minutes. Best for very quick collections.
  • Free Zone A Park & Ride — park free and ride the free shuttle (every 5 minutes) to the terminal. Best for waiting while someone clears customs.
  • Black cab from the taxi rank — on the forecourt outside arrivals, metered fares.

All passenger parking for Terminal 4 has moved to Zone A of the Park & Ride. The forecourt set-down lane remains drop-off only.

Your Guide to Heathrow Terminal 4 Pickups (2026 Update)

Heathrow Terminal 4 sits on the airport's southern perimeter and is the home of Qatar Airways, Etihad, El Al and the SkyTeam alliance (KLM, Air France, Delta, Korean Air, Saudia and more). In 2026 it is also Heathrow's most changed terminal for pickups, so it pays to know exactly how collection works now.

Important: Terminal 4 changed on 23 June 2026

The T4 multi-storey car park (Terminal and Meet & Greet parking) closed for a major forecourt redevelopment. All passenger parking moved to Zone A of the Park & Ride, and collection is now via the Priority Pick-Up Area or the free Zone A shuttle. If you have an old bookmark for the T4 short-stay car park, it no longer applies.

This guide is part of our wider Heathrow Airport Taxi network. With T4's car park layout newly changed, a Meet & Greet inside arrivals is the simplest way to be collected right now. Ready to book? See our fixed-price Heathrow Terminal 4 taxi page.

Terminal 4 Priority Pick-Up Area

The Priority Pick-Up Area is the new quick-collection zone right outside Terminal 4, introduced when the multi-storey closed. It is metered: from £7 for up to 10 minutes. It suits a fast collection where your passenger is already through customs and waiting kerbside. If they are still clearing immigration, the per-minute clock makes the free Park & Ride the better choice.

Free Zone A Park & Ride + Shuttle

For a no-charge collection, head to Zone A of the Terminal 4 Park & Ride. You park free and a free shuttle runs every five minutes to the terminal, so you can meet your passenger inside without paying per minute. This is now where all Terminal 4 passenger parking lives. The trade-off is the shuttle hop and a short wait — fine for most, less ideal late at night or with heavy luggage.

Terminal 4 Meet & Greet: Where We Pick You Up

When you book a Heathrow Terminal 4 pickup with us, the new car-park arrangements are our problem, not yours:

1 Your flight lands — we are already tracking it in real time.

2 Driver handles the logistics — your driver sorts the Park & Ride or Priority Pick-Up access and heads to arrivals.

3 Meet & Greet inside Arrivals — your driver waits inside the T4 arrivals hall by WHSmith with a name board. Clear customs, collect your bags, look for your name.

4 Walk to the car — your driver helps with luggage and walks you to the vehicle, no shuttle required.

Terminal 4 Taxi Rank & the £7 Drop-Off

The Terminal 4 taxi rank is on the forecourt outside arrivals, signposted "Taxis" — black cabs only, metered, not fixed, with waits of 5–15 minutes off-peak and longer during the Gulf long-haul waves. Departing from T4, the forecourt set-down lane is for unloading only — no waiting, and a £7 drop-off charge per vehicle (this is separate from the Priority Pick-Up charge used for collections). With our fixed fares the £7 drop-off is always included.
