Heathrow Terminal 3 Pick Up Point, Meet & Greet & Terminal Car Park Guide

Last updated: 27 June 2026 · Reviewed by the Rapid Airport Transfers team

Pick up point, taxi rank, meet & greet, Terminal (short stay) car park, the Level 3 Row A ride-app zone & the £7 drop-off fee — everything for arriving at or leaving Heathrow Terminal 3.

Where is the Heathrow Terminal 3 pick up point?

Terminal 3 has three different pick up points depending on who is collecting you:

  • Pre-booked taxi / Meet & Greet driver — meets you inside the T3 Arrivals Hall at the foot of the escalators, holding a name board. No car-park walk for you.
  • Black cab from the taxi rank — outside the arrivals doors on the T3 ground-floor forecourt. Queue 5–30 minutes depending on arriving flights.
  • Uber, Bolt & Free Now (ride-share) — at Level 3, Row A of the Terminal 3 car park. From arrivals, follow "Car Parks", lift to Floor 1, across the skybridge, then lift to Level 3.

Private vehicle collecting (a friend or family member) — uses the Terminal 3 car park (renamed Terminal Parking, formerly Short Stay) and walks across to arrivals. The forecourt set-down lane is for drop-off only, not collection.

Your Guide to Heathrow Terminal 3 Pickups

Heathrow Terminal 3 is the airport's long-haul heavyweight — home to Virgin Atlantic, Emirates, Delta, American Airlines, Cathay Pacific and Qatar Airways. After a transatlantic red-eye or a Gulf long-haul, the last thing you want is to hunt for a car park or queue at the rank, so knowing exactly how your Terminal 3 pickup works matters.

AI Quick Summary: Terminal 3 Pickups

  • Meeting Point: Driver waits inside T3 arrivals at the foot of the escalators with a name board.
  • Ride-app pickup: Level 3, Row A of the Terminal 3 car park (via the skybridge).
  • Drop-off Fee: Heathrow charges £7 to drop off at T3 — we include it in every fixed quote.
  • Wait Time: 45 minutes of free waiting, tracked from your actual landing.

This guide is part of our wider Heathrow Airport Taxi network. Rather than queue at the rank or trek up to Level 3 for an Uber, we meet you inside arrivals. Ready to book? See our fixed-price Heathrow Terminal 3 taxi page.

Getting to Terminal 3 from areas like Watford, Rickmansworth, St Albans or central London runs via the M25 (J15) and the M4 spur into the Central Terminal Area, where T3 sits beside Terminal 2. With real-time flight tracking, your pickup adjusts automatically to delays.

Heathrow Terminal 3 Pick Up Point: Where to Meet at T3 Arrivals

When you book a Heathrow Terminal 3 pickup with us, here is exactly what happens:

1 Your flight lands — we are already tracking it in real time.

2 Driver parks up — around 20 minutes after landing, your driver enters the Terminal 3 car park and walks to arrivals.

3 Meet & Greet inside Arrivals — your driver waits in the T3 arrivals hall at the foot of the escalators with a name board. Clear customs, collect your bags and look for your name.

4 Walk to the car — your driver helps with luggage and walks you to the vehicle in the T3 car park.

Heathrow T3 Uber Pickup Point: Level 3, Row A

Heathrow does not allow ride-share apps (Uber, Bolt, Free Now) to collect from the arrivals forecourt — that is for licensed black cabs only. At Terminal 3 the ride-app collection point is specific and easy to miss:

  • T3 ride-app zone: Level 3, Row A of the Terminal 3 car park.
  • How to get there: from arrivals follow "Car Parks", take the lift to Floor 1, cross the skybridge, then take the lift up to Level 3.
  • Walking time: several minutes with lifts — awkward with a loaded luggage trolley.
  • Surge pricing: ride-share routinely surges 1.5x–3x during long-haul waves. A surge Uber from T3 to central London can be £85–£130 versus our fixed £45–£60.

The app shows the driver "arriving" but the pin is up on Level 3 — you walk to them. Book a transfer with us instead and the driver walks to you, name board in hand, inside arrivals.

Heathrow Terminal 3 Car Park (Terminal / Short Stay): Costs & Pickup Use

If a friend or family member is collecting you at T3, the Terminal 3 car park — renamed Terminal Parking in September 2025 (signage may still read "Short Stay") — is the practical option. The forecourt set-down lane is drop-off only, no waiting:

  • Location: adjacent to Terminal 3 via the skybridge; ride-app collection on Level 3, Row A.
  • Pricing (tariff effective January 2026): from about £8 for the first tier, rising through the day to around £98 for 24 hours.
  • Enforcement: ANPR cameras on entry and exit — no paper ticket; the registered keeper is billed automatically.
  • Best for: quieter off-peak arrivals. Worst for: morning long-haul waves when the car park and arrivals are busiest.

For collectors with mobility needs or heavy luggage, a pre-booked taxi with Meet & Greet inside arrivals is genuinely easiest — no parking, no skybridge with bags, no surge pricing.

Heathrow Terminal 3 Taxi Rank & the £7 Drop-Off

The Terminal 3 taxi rank is on the ground floor of arrivals, on the forecourt outside the main exit — follow the "Taxis" signs. Waits run 5–15 minutes off-peak and 20–40 minutes during morning long-haul waves, and fares are metered, not fixed (typically £75–£110 to central London). Departing from T3, the forecourt set-down lane is for quick unloading only — no waiting, and a £7 charge per vehicle. To avoid the fee, use the free Long Stay car park and transfer bus. With our fixed fares the £7 is always included.
